This Renault 5 Maxi Turbo was part of the Team Scuderie Astigiana Corse and Scuderia Draghi Rossi, has raced in the Italian Championship and in competitions such as Rally Città d’Asti, Rally Città di Torino, and the Rally 333 Minutes with the driver Gianni Cappellino (known Italian driver who also raced with Lancia 037 Rally, Lancia Delta Integrale, Ford Sierra RS Cosworth).

Auto with specific Gr.4 with motor around 270HP, is integrally restored in 2014 by Gilles Ciamin (maximum world-wide expert in restaurations of the Renault 5), and after the restoration never is used.

Belonged to known collector and pilot of historical cars from race in order to participate to the European Championship Historical Rally and the Rally of montecarlo Historique.
