This 1968 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce Series I is presented in excellent bodywork and mechanical condition, with a refined colour combination: the Light Metallic Blue bodywork is beautifully complemented by elegant Testa di Moro dark brown leather upholstery.
Period-correct original alloy wheels and evocative black number plates from the province of Rovigo complete the car’s distinctive appearance.
This example retains the floor-hinged pedals, one of the most distinctive and desirable features of the first series.
Under the bonnet is Alfa Romeo’s celebrated 1,779 cc twin-cam four-cylinder engine, fed by twin Weber twin-choke carburettors and producing 118 hp. The five-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive and four-wheel disc brakes still deliver the engaging and authentic driving experience for which the Biscione’s coupés became renowned.
Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone, the 1750 GT Veloce is considered one of the finest interpretations of the celebrated Giulia GT family.
Introduced in late 1967, it became the flagship of Alfa Romeo’s coupé range. The “1750” name paid tribute to the glorious Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 models of the 1930s, while the same model family also provided the basis for the legendary competition GTAm developed by Autodelta.
