The 1000 Miglia officially opens registration for Warm Up Switzerland 2026, the classic regularity event that precedes the famous Italian race. From May 28th to 31st, Northern Switzerland will host four days designed to combine training, competition, and exploration of the region.
A format designed to grow in regularity
The Warm Up maintains the formula that has made it successful in recent years: a limited number of participants, dedicated training sessions, and a course designed to accommodate both first-time crews and competitors already accustomed to major competitions.
The goal is to offer an ideal context for perfecting technique, navigation, and precision test management, while experiencing the typical atmosphere of the 1000 Miglia.
A 530-kilometer itinerary
The 2026 route covers approximately 530 kilometers through some of the most picturesque cantons of northeastern Switzerland. From Zurich to Thurgau, from Appenzell to St. Gallen, all the way to Glarus, Zug, and Lucerne, the route alternates valleys, hilly roads, Alpine climbs, and passes through historic villages.
Each day is designed to offer a balanced mix of landscapes and technical sections, with regularity tests spread across both main stages.

The second stage, longer and more challenging, is approximately 250 kilometers long: from St. Gallen towards the landscapes of Glarus, Schwyz, and Lucerne, with stretches of great scenic value.

It’s an event that combines competition, tourism, automotive culture, and the opportunity to test yourself on a varied, meticulously crafted, and captivating route.
