As the last rays of sunlight fade over the frozen lake at 1,800 meters, the curtain falls on the 2025 edition of The I.C.E. St. Moritz. An event that offered two unforgettable days to all those in attendance, rewriting the rules of concours d’elegance with a blend of tradition and innovation. Over the past few years, the gathering has become an unmissable appointment of the winter season, reaching full maturity. And although the format is still evolving, it has already managed to capture the hearts of an international audience—especially the younger generation—arriving from across Europe, the United States, and Japan.
The magic began on the very first day: the sky was graced by a vintage biplane in “Red Baron” style and a hot-air balloon, enchanting the spectators and setting the stage for a truly unique spectacle. The day opened with Horacio Pagani, who inaugurated the ice track by dynamically presenting the Utopia Roadster, alongside an extraordinary selection of cars: Maserati with the Grancabrio and MC2 Stradale, and classic Ferraris that made the hearts of enthusiasts race. Horacio Pagani himself also took part in the concours d’elegance with his 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/4, securing victory in the Icons on Wheels category.
The event, entirely sold out on both Friday and Saturday—with tickets gone within hours—highlighted how, unlike other concours d’elegance, its appeal is not limited to an older audience but also strongly attracts a younger, dynamic generation. The fascination extended well beyond the frozen lake: The I.C.E. transformed the entire town of St. Moritz into an open-air stage, hosting artistic installations and automotive-themed lounges. Ferrari, Rimac, Riva, and other prestigious brands welcomed guests to exclusive events, while the art exhibition Making Wroom, curated by gallerist Jörg Heiser at the Grand Hotel Kempinski Palace, enriched the atmosphere with works celebrating design excellence.
Among the most emotional highlights were the free runs on the lake: historic cars, symbols of a golden age, traced luminous arabesques across the white frozen surface, offering spectators moments of pure poetry in motion. Throughout the day, the jury—composed of internationally renowned experts and joined by Mayor Christian Jott Jenny, a key figure since the very first edition—evaluated these rolling works of art with rigor and passion, culminating in the presentation of the prestigious Best in Show award.
