San Marino, October 2–5 – Four days of passion, engines, and pure motorsport heritage.
RallyLegend 2025 once again brought the spirit of rallying back to the Republic of San Marino, blending competition, spectacle, and nostalgia in a way few other events can. A true celebration of the golden era of rallying, where sound, mechanics, and human skill remain the essence of the show.
Classic, Historic, and WRC: Three Worlds, One Passion
In the Classic category, reserved for cars from the 1990s and early 2000s, victory went to Simon Jean-Joseph and Patrick Pivato driving a 1995 Subaru Impreza 555.
Their triumph also earned them the McRae Subaru Group A Rally Trophy, a special award created in memory of the legendary Colin McRae, which includes an extraordinary memento — a pair of racing shoes once worn by McRae himself, donated by his family.
Runners-up were Gianpietro Bendotti – Giuliano Vaerini in a 1996 Subaru Impreza, followed by Miklos Kazar – Tamas Begala in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX.
In the Historic class, dedicated to cars from the 1970s and early 1980s, Stefano Rosati and Corrado Costa took the win aboard a 1981 Talbot Lotus Sunbeam, an icon of its era.
Mirko and Elisa Zanotti finished second with an Opel Manta GTE (1984), while Nemo Mazza – Andrea Ercolani Volta completed the podium with their 1979 Ford Escort Mk2.
Among the modern cars in the WRC category, the Spanish crew Victor Senra Carreira – Paula Ramos Torrente claimed victory with a Hyundai i20 WRC.
Luca Pedersoli – Anna Tomasi (Hyundai) finished second, and Stepan Vojtech – Michal Ernst (Citroën C3 WRC Plus) secured third place.
Showtime On and Off the Special Stages
As always, RallyLegend is more than a competition — it’s a spectacle.
Fans were treated to breathtaking performances by Kalle Rovanperä, who thrilled the crowds with slides and jumps in a Toyota Starlet, while his father Harri Rovanperä, a hero of the 1990s, returned to the spotlight behind the wheel of a SEAT Córdoba WRC.
A major exhibition area was devoted to Subaru Impreza and Legacy Group A cars, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Colin McRae’s world title. Another tribute honored the 40th anniversary of the Lancia Delta S4, one of the most iconic machines of the Group B era.
Among the cars on display and in competition were true rally legends: Lancia Stratos, Fulvia HF, Fiat 131 Abarth, Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV, Opel Kadett GTE, Simca Rally2, Alpine Renault A110, Fiat Ritmo, and many more — a stunning showcase of engineering and history.
To close the event, the Legend Trophy for the longest jump went to Ivars and Andris Velme driving an Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2 (1983).

Edition after edition, RallyLegend continues to strengthen its international reputation.
Drivers, teams, and enthusiasts from all over Europe gather in San Marino to celebrate a shared philosophy — that of authentic motorsport, where history is not merely remembered but relived.
The sound of engines, the dust on the stages, and the enthusiasm of the spectators once again turned the tiny republic into the beating heart of rallying.
RallyLegend 2025 reaffirmed that the legend of rallying is alive, loud, and thriving on the roads of San Marino.
