MICHEL DECREMER AND JENNIFER HUGO WIN THE XXVI EDITION OF THE MONTE-CARLO HISTORIQUE RALLYE

It’s finally the last night of Monte Carlo, the night that everyone dreams of living from the first meter traveled at the start! The last start is given at 9pm to race on the two iconic special stages of this race, the two tests where the competitors risk everything…

La Sospel – Col de Turini SR 16 of 19.774 km with the summit finish, as in the latest WRC versions, and La Cabanette – Col de Braus SR17 of 13.811 km passing through the Col de L’Orme (1000 m) and the Col de l’Ablé (1149 m).
Unfortunately, the thick fog that envelops from the first meters of the last test decrees its cancellation, taking it would be too dangerous for the type of road, without references to the ground and without any lateral protection. ACM therefore decides to return the caravan without the final test.

The crews return to Monaco to climb the finish line in Monaco one last time, where they are all welcomed and celebrated: getting to the end is still a great victory!
But here the absolute winners are:
1′ Michel Decremer and Jennifer Hugo – Opel Ascona
2′ Giorgio Shon and Francesco Giammarino – Austin Mini Cooper
3′ Maurizio Aiolfi and Carlo Merenda – Lancia Beta Coupe

Who will be awarded tomorrow evening, Wednesday 7 February in the prestigious Salle des Etoiles of the Sporting Club of Monte-Carlo.

That’s all from the XXVI Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique… in the next few days we’ll find out more about the behind the scenes and the insiders.
