From September 27 to 29, 2024, in the heart of the Motor Valley, Palazzo di Varignana hosted the second edition of the prestigious international concours, where the Ferrari 275 GTB triumphed among 30 extraordinary historic cars.

The exclusive setting of Palazzo di Varignana welcomed the second edition of the Concorso d’Eleganza Varignana 1705, one of the most anticipated events on the European automotive calendar. Following the success of its inaugural edition, the concours presented a curated selection of 30 classic automobiles built before 1973, captivating enthusiasts and collectors from around the world.

More than a celebration of engineering and design, the Concorso is a true tribute to the timeless elegance of classic cars. Each vehicle was carefully selected by an international jury of experts, representing a fundamental chapter in the history of the automobile. Among the highlights of the 2024 edition were the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750, the Lamborghini Miura Prototype, and the Maserati 3500 Vignale Spyder – authentic icons capable of inspiring even the most discerning collectors.

The 30 competing cars, divided into six themed classes – including Before the Storm, Excellence from Zuffenhausen, and British Postcards – offered a unique overview of the evolution of automotive design and mechanics. Notable collectors included Corrado Lopresto with his Isotta Fraschini 8C Monterosa Coupé Touring, Silvia Nicolis with a rare 1914 Benz Jadewagen, and Hidetomo Kimura from Japan with a 1950 Fiat 1100 Ghia.

A true highlight of the event was the presence of the Auto Avio Costruzioni 815, considered the “first Ferrari”, once owned by the great Alberto Ascari – an extraordinary piece of history that fascinated the audience.

The international jury, composed of seven renowned experts and chaired by Stefano Pasini, awarded the Ferrari 275 GTB the title of Best of Show 2024, crowning it as the undisputed star of the event.
