Andrea and Roberto Vesco sign the 2026 edition of the Giulietta & Romeo Cup

Andrea and Roberto Vesco opened the 2026 Italian regularity season with a masterful victory. The Brescia-based crew won the Coppa Giulietta & Romeo , the inaugural round of the Italian Historic Car Regularity Championship (CIREAS), driving their 1935 Fiat 508 S to victory .

The race was a monologue for the Fiat brand, which occupied the entire overall podium. Behind the Vescos were Bertoli and Vavassori , finishing second by a narrow margin, followed by Barcella and Ghidotti in third. A battle decided within hundredths of a second, confirming the extremely high technical level of the competitors.

The technical and scenic route wound its way between the shores of Lake Garda and the hills of Verona, testing the more than 100 registered crews with a tight succession of timed trials. In addition to the overall standings, the event celebrated the winners of the various categories, offering a unique spectacle thanks to the variety of historic cars competing, from iconic pre-war models to more recent youngtimers.

With this victory, the Vescos reaffirm their position as favorites for the Italian title, capping a weekend that combined sportsmanship, precision, and a great automotive tradition.
